Primary 7 enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to Bagenal’s Castle, where they experienced what life was like for Victorian schoolchildren. Pupils took part in a role‑play Victorian classroom, complete with strict rules, slate boards, and traditional lessons. The session gave everyone a real sense of how different school life was in the 19th century.
After their classroom experience, the children explored a range of Victorian artefacts, including household items, clothing, and early school materials. They also had the chance to try out traditional Victorian games, which proved to be a highlight of the day. The trip brought history to life in a fun and engaging way.
