Primary 7 had a wonderful opportunity to take part in an online question and answer session with Marita Conlon McKenna, the author of our class novel Under the Hawthorn Tree. The pupils were fascinated to learn about the inspiration behind the story and to hear all about Marita’s writing process. Everyone enjoyed the experience and discovering what it’s really like to be an author. The session has definitely inspired some of our pupils — we may have a few budding writers in the making!
